Guru e DJ Premier
Keith Elam, meglio conosciuto
con lo pseudonimo di The G.U.R.U.
acronimo di "Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal"
nato a Boston il 17 luglio 1966
ci ha lasciato la scorsa mattina!
Ammalato di cancro, il 28 febbraio 2010 è entrato in coma
in seguito ad un arresto cardiaco,
ed è morto ieri mattina 19 aprile 2010,
aveva solamente 43 anni!
Guru è stato un dei maggiori esponenti della East Coast
è stato un rapper e produttore discografico
e assieme a Dj Premier
formavano il gruppo Gang Starr
uno dei migliori duetti hip hop statunitense di New York!
Per qualche motivo a noi ignoto
le cose tra lui e DJ Premier
ultimamente non andavano bene,
basti pensare che in punto di morte l'MC
ha scritto una lettera nella quale
ad un certo punto possiamo leggere:
"I do not wish my ex-DJ to have anything to do with my name likeness, events tributes etc. connected in anyway to my situation including any use of my name or circumstance for any reason and I have instructed my lawyers to enforce this. I had nothing to do with him in life for over 7 years and want nothing to do with him in death."
